Founded in 2000 by CEO and Managing Director Ellie Maggio, EMEND Management Consulting Inc. is Canada’s leading boutique HR consulting firm. We specialize in both designing and implementing high performance strategies and programs pertaining to Human Resources, Compensation Management, Performance Management, Talent Management, and Employee Rewards and Recognition.

Ellie Maggio, CEO and Managing Director

Ellie A. Maggio has over 20 years of management consulting experience specializing in designing and implementing performance and reward programs. During her consulting career, Ellie’s corporate roles have included being a Principal with Mercer Human Resources Consulting and a Rewards Management Practice Leader with Towers Perrin.

Ellie specializes in providing innovative business solutions on Compensation and Human Resource management issues for clients across industry sectors. Her work is primarily with mid-size and large organizations in the private sector.

Ellie is an author and speaker on Compensation and Human Resource management issues. She has appeared on CBC Venture and CBC Business World. She is a current member of Strategic Capability Network and WorldatWork; and a past member of SHRM, HRPAO and HRPS. Ellie spent many years as a volunteer board member with WorldatWork; and is currently a peer reviewer of articles. Ellie was a frequent contributor to Profit Magazine’s Decision Board and a contributing author to a bestselling book entitled “Re-inventing HR”. Ellie has been a board member of various not-for-profit organizations.

Ellie received her B.A. (Hon.) in Public Policy & Administration from York University and the University of Quebec (Trois-Rivières); and a Masters of Human Resources Management (MHRM) from York University.
